Michael Mercer is a retired police officer with 30+ years of experience, an ICCP-Advanced Practitioner under the CPTED Association, former president of the Maine Association of Police, Retired, and current Vice President of the Maine Police Emerald Society. He is also President of Michael Mercer Consulting LLC and CEO/Founder of F3Defense. He began his career in 1985 with Portland, ME PD, later working for Gorham, ME PD, and Mesa, AZ PD, specializing in crime prevention, community policing, and gangs. While with Mesa PD, he co-developed the Chemical Agent Special Program. Michael also served as a Master at Arms in the U.S. Navy Reserves post-9/11.
In 2012, he founded Not On Our Watch to offer crime prevention education and personal safety training, later expanding into consulting with Michael Mercer Consulting LLC. In response to rising violence, Michael pivoted to manufacturing in 2020, creating F3Defense and the world’s only, patented mobile pepper spray deployment system.
Connie Mercer

Constance “Connie” Mercer, is an experienced and skilled administrative professional with a wealth of expertise across multiple industries! With her 35+ years of experience in insurance, finance, and real estate, she brings a broad understanding of how different sectors operate. Her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and exceptional people skills make her an invaluable asset to F3Defense. Connie is always willing to help others and strives to make a positive difference in the lives of those around her.
Jerry Goodrich
Chief Financial Officer
Jerry Goodrich is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience across Engineering, Sales, and Marketing, Jerry is a results-driven leader with a strong foundation in Business and Economics. He has a proven track record of success in overseeing finance strategy, operations, and performance, with a focus on driving organizational growth. Jerry excels in strategic financial planning and leadership, playing a key role in risk management, capital allocation, and financial forecasting.
Conchobhar (Connor) Mercer
Vice President of Sales
Conchobhar “Connor” Mercer, has over 12 years of experience in armed and unarmed security defense. He has completed several pistol and rifle training courses and drills as well as numerous sales trainings. With a strong interest in drone technology, Connor has built his own drones and is currently working on his 107 FAA pilot’s license. Raised in a law enforcement family, his passion for helping others stay safe was ignited early on. Connor is committed to supporting the mission of providing life-saving products to both law enforcement and the public.

Merle Davis
Merle Davis earned a B.S. in Law Enforcement Administration from Western Illinois University in 1991, followed by a Master’s Degree in Human Relations and Education from Northern Arizona University in
2000.
Merle began his law enforcement career with the Willowbrook Police Department, serving from 1991 to 1995, before joining the Mesa Police Department. Over his 9 years at Mesa PD, he held various roles, including patrol officer, member of the bike unit, gang detective, narcotics detective, and violent crimes/homicide detective, showcasing a diverse and impactful career in public safety.
After leaving law enforcement, Merle transitioned to Cox Communications, where he served as a Supervisor and Investigator in the Fraud Division. His professional journey also includes experience in manufacturer sales for both sporting goods and law enforcement products, allowing him to leverage his extensive background in public safety in the private sector.
With a robust combination of education and hands-on experience, Merle continues to make significant contributions to the fields of law enforcement as a National Sales Manager.
Randy Sutton
Randy Sutton is a 34 year Law Enforcement veteran and nationally known media commentator on Law
Enforcement issues. Randy is the Founder of ‘THE WOUNDED BLUE” The National Assistance and Support Organization for Injured and Disabled Law Enforcement Officers. He served ten years in the Princeton New Jersey Police Department and 24 years with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department retiring at the rank of Lieutenant.
He is recognized as one of the most highly decorated officers in the LVMPD history, having awards for Valor, Community Service, Exemplary Service and multiple Lifesaving awards. He has trained thousands of Law Enforcement Officers in the United States on the subject of “POLICING WITH HONOR”
He is the author of “TRUE BLUE Police Stories by Those Who Have Lived Them”, ‘A COP’S LIFE”, “TRUE BLUE TO PROTECT AND SERVE”, and has been recognized by the President of the United States while receiving the “POINTS OF LIGHT “ Award and is also the author of the Amazon #1 Bestselling book, “THE POWER OF LEGACY, Personal Heroes of America’s Most Inspiring People” He is the Host of the popular Podcast “A COPS LIFE”.
Bo Schmelling
Bo Schmelling is a seasoned entrepreneur originally from Northern Wisconsin, now residing in Boise, Idaho, where he has made significant strides in the business landscape over the past 16 years. As the CEO of multiple companies, Bo has demonstrated expertise in managing compliance within the trucking industry and advancing technology solutions for operational efficiency.
For the past decade, Bo has led Unified Compliance Services, an organization dedicated to providing exemplary compliance management services to thousands of trucking companies nationwide. Under his leadership, the company has established a reputation for excellence in its field. He is also the founder of SafetyAuditPrep.com, a software-based compliance company recognized as Compliance Software of the Year 2023. This innovative platform harnesses artificial intelligence and direct integration to empower trucking companies with cost-effective compliance management solutions.
In addition to these ventures, Bo has recently launched Modern Minuteman Defense, a federal firearms manufacturer and dealer focused on national distribution. His commitment to enhancing safety and security across the nation positions this company for significant growth.
A self-taught entrepreneur, Bo takes pride in his journey and the accomplishments he has achieved. He is passionate about outdoor activities, spending his leisure time camping, hiking, and hunting in the mountains. An avid long-distance shooter, he enjoys the challenge of making shots over 1.5 miles.
At the heart of Bo’s life are his wife and six children, ranging in age from 14 years to newborn. They are his true drive and inspiration, motivating him to excel both personally and professionally.
